These lessons include activities for comprehension and self-expression to maintain and expand your skill level. The course increases your knowledge of French vocabulary and grammar as well as your ability to understand, to write and to speak French fluently.

Unit 1. Faire les boutiques (2:45)

• In this lesson you will learn how to talk about stores, shopping, clothing and means of payment.
• Vocabulary. Articles of clothing, prepositions of location and terms relating to time.
• Grammar. the demonstrative pronouns, using subject inversion.
  

Unit 2. Choisir des habits. (2:11)

• Learn how to talk about various articles of clothing and their sizes.
• Vocabulary. Articles of clothing, expressing your opinion.
• Grammar. Verbs that end in "-ayer."
• Unit 3. Activités culturelles.
  Words and grammar are only parts of a system of communication … the cultural context is also important. These brief lessons provide an insight into an aspect of French-language culture.

Unit 4. Les commerces (2:44)

• Learn to name the stores and groceries for daily shopping. You will also be able to ask the shopkeepers for recommendations about cooking techniques.
• Vocabulary. Foods, beverages and shops.
• Grammar. Adverbs of quantity, irregular plurals, the adverb "assez."
• Unit 5. Activités culturelles.

Unit 6. Le supermarché (2:11)

• Grocery shopping - terms for products and shopping.
• Vocabulary. Foods, drinks, payment, measures.
• Grammar. "Faire" in the present subjunctive, using "où" and "à."

Unit 7. Un accident (2:19)

• Perhaps this theme not so amusing, but it will really be a relief to be able to speak with emergency personnel in case of an accident. You will be able to help someone who is hurt, because in this lesson you will learn how to describe an injury and what part of the body is affected.
• Vocabulary. Medical conditions and treatments, parts of the body.
• Grammar. The passé composé, transitive and intransitive verbs, using "chez."

Unit 8. Chez le médicin (2:41)

• Here you will practice expressions useful for a visit to the doctor. Learn how to describe symptoms and ask the doctor to advise you and to explain medical treatments.
• Vocabulary. Health and medicine, examinations, internal organs.
• Grammar. The indefinite determiner "quelque," the preposition "à" with an infinitive, the adverb "encore," pronominal verbs.
