In this level, you will review the concepts and vocabulary you learned in French, Beginning 1 (A1). The lessons include activities for comprehension and self-expression to maintain and expand your skill level. The course increases your knowledge of vocabulary and French grammar and your ability to understand and to express yourself orally and in writing.

Part I. Review Basic Vocabulary and Concepts

Find these lessons in the TMM Language Program "French, Everyday Situations, Beginner A1, Basic Concepts 1." This review lasts about 10 hours. If you have recently completed French Beginner I, you may wish to move ahead to Part II. On the other hand, if your French language skills are rusty, you will find these units useful in getting you up-to-speed to continue with the lessons that follow.

Part II. Complete French, Beginner, All Skills, Units 11 - 13.

Now move ahead into the Language Program "French, Beginner, All Skills," Unit 11, thus taking up our TMM program where French Beginner 1 left off.

Part III. Switch to Intermediate Level.

Congratulations! Now you have completed the Learning Program "Beginner A1." Return to the "Training" tab in your TMM Homepage and change your level from "Beginner" to "Intermediate - A2" in the Language Program, "French, Everyday Situations, All Skills." Then continue with the following lessons.

Now that you've learned how to order a nice meal, prepare to make yourself even more at home. Here you will practice reserving lodgings for your French vacation.
Vocabulary. Dates, types of rental accommodations, rooms, furniture and fittings.
Grammar. Agreement of the participle with the subject in the passé composé, the adverbial construction "ne … que," ("nothing but …"), ordinal numbers, adjectives with the feminine.

This lesson is the last assigned in your My Language Requirement French Beginner 2 course. Now it is time to take your Language Achievement Test, the final assessment in your Tell Me More program. This test becomes available through the "Tests" tab on your TMM Homepage after you have completed 36 hours of practice.

A learner at this level is able to understand basic vocabulary and expressions related to everyday matters (dates and times, personal and family information, basic shopping for food and clothing).

A learner at this level is able to communicate on a rudimentary level about simple and routine matters (simple exchanges of information, basic needs).
