Teil IV. The combinations "au," "äu" and "eu"

Three other vowel combinations will complete your introductory tour of German vowels.

The combination "au" rhymes with the English word "now."

There are two letter combinations that rhyme with "boy": "eu" and "äu."
(When "a" takes an umlaut, it sounds like "e," so it is logical that "äu" is pronounced like "eu.")
