Saturdays and Sundays - the weekend! My Language Requirement believes in weekends ...
Your teacher is available to you Monday through Friday by e-mail. She or he will contact you once or twice a week to remind you of assignments, to provide feedback on your progress and to respond to your weekly check-in. In addition, your instructor responds daily to any questions you may have. If you wish to schedule a tutoring session, these take place Mondays through Fridays in morning, afternoon and evening sessions, with the exception of Friday evening.
Our organization does not require teachers to work on the weekend, which we define as from 5:00 p.m. Friday to 9:00 a.m. Monday (Friday 17:00 to Monday 9:00) in the teacher's local time zone. Your teacher may be willing to respond to e-mails or to schedule a tutoring session during the weekend, but this is entirely at her or his discretion.
Our Course Completion Plans also assume a 5-day work week, although we know that weekends are often very good times for studying. We schedule your lessons to give you at least two days per week off, even in a 5-week intensive course.
Vita brevis, ars longa
Latin - life is short and art is long. Learning a language takes commitment and patience, like learning a sport or a musical instrument. Treat learning a language like a hobby and spend time on it every day. But remember - life is short and enjoy your weekend!
