The Language Achievement Test is the last assessment in your course. You take this test on the final day of your term. It measures your listening and reading comprehension skills.
Comillas, Spain
The Language Achievement Test provides good practice for taking your language proficiency test. It resembles the kinds of tests commonly used to measure language proficiency.
Testing Advice:
Devote about one to one-and-one-half hours to the test. Find a quiet space free of noise, distractions or interruptions.
Make sure your speakers and microphone are in good working order and your laptop, if you are using one, is fully charged.
- You will take the test only once.
- You may pause the test and resume it later.
- Answers that are submitted cannot be changed.
- Each question is timed.
- Skip questions that are too advanced. Use testing time for questions within your skill level.
The important thing is to move coolly through the test and answer all the questions that are within your "zone" as best you can. Do not be concerned by questions that are still outside your "zone": they are not meant for you. Let this awareness reduce your stress level while testing.
At the end of your test, you receive an accurate assessment of the language proficiency level you have achieved in the form of scores and a commentary. Let your instructor know if you would like the results of your Language Achievement Test included on your Certificate of Course Completion.
