Your Choice of Term Length

Choose the term length that best suits your needs. Completion of each course requires practicing with Tell Me More for 36 hours. This mirrors the number of hours a student normally spends in an on-campus language class.

The 5-week Intensive Course, the 10-week Trimester Course and the 15-week Semester Course contain exactly the same lessons and content.

When choosing your term length, keep in mind your goal of 36 hours of practice plus additional time for taking notes, studying vocabulary and grammar, exploring the internet and practicing with quizzes, games and exercises. And remember, the more you practice, the more you will learn.

• 15-Week Semester: We recommend a 15-week term length for a relaxed and effective learning experience. Completion requires practicing only two and one-half hours each week.
• 5-Week Intensive Course: If you need to prepare quickly for a language proficiency test, finish two levels in a short time or get ready for a trip abroad, choose the intensive 5-week course. Completion requires practicing 90 minutes each day, Monday through Friday, during the length of your term.
• 10-Week Trimester Course: The ten-week course is best if you prefer moving forward at a brisk pace, but aren't in a rush. Completion of this length term requires practicing about forty-five minutes per day, Monday through Friday, or less than four hours each week.

Term Extensions

If you register for a shorter course and need extra time, extend your term to 15 weeks. There is a one-week grace period at the end of each term. If you need more than 16 weeks, that is also possible. Click here for more information on term extensions.
