Weekly Check-in
The weekly Check-in is an important part of your MLR course. Here you look back at the previous week and review what you have learned. This activity is vital for processing the new information and moving it into your long-term memory. It is also an opportunity to reflect on your own learning strategies in order to become a more effective learner.
Each Friday, write about your work during the preceding week. Use some of the new expressions you learned. Tell which activities you completed and which you found most interesting and effective. Give examples of word families, pairs of opposites, or aspects of grammar you learned. Discuss your experience using the software. Comment on the cultural content of the lesson. What did you learn that was interesting, surprising, or new? What confirmed or contradicted what you had thought previously?
Your weekly Check-in should be about 200 words long.
