Prepare for testing of
English as a Foreign Language
If you want to study at a university in the United States or Canada, you may be preparing to take a test of your English proficiency. Many colleges or universities require applicants from countries where languages other than English are spoken to take a special test. This demonstrates that you are able to understand and produce English well enough to study at the university.
An example of such a test is the TOEFL®, or Test of English as a Foreign Language, administered through the Educational Testing Service (ETS®).
